  This statement means that when you hang out with people who are bad influence then you will eventually be like them, but when you hang out with people who are successful then you will become successful as well. For example, if you hang out with people who get drunk, smoke, or ditch school then you will eventually be doing the same. Don't hang out with people that will influence you the wrong way.

                                                          

Dental Technician

Dental Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

   They keep and improve patient’s oral health by making or removing prostheses according to the dentist’s prescription. They fix damaged teeth and document their actions by completing forms, records, logs, and reports.

Average Salary: $21,000- $91,000

Educational Requirements:

   They can complete their education and training in a two-year program at a community college, vocational school, technical college, university or dental school. Then they can become certified by passing an examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology.

I would not like to be a dental technician because it does interest me. I am not interested in dental care.

 This statement means that no one else can do the work that you have to do because it won't result in your name, but in someone else's. For example, if you are going to take a test you can not ask anyone to study and take it for you because even if that someone does pass the test, then it is that someone who will get the credit, not you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

   They are physicians trained in medical and surgical treatment of the ear, nose, throat, and other structures of the face and neck. They specialize for handling diseases in these areas. This can include hearing disorders, allergies, diseases of the larynx, or reconstructive surgery.

Average Salary: $235,549- $428,421

Educational Requirements:

   You must take 15 years of training and education, 4-year undergraduate program, 4-year medical program, at least 5 years of specialty training, and a 1-2 year residency program. Then, you get peer evaluated and have to pass an oral and written tests given by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

I would not like to be in this career because it does not interest me. Having to do surgery really isn’t my thing.

Integrity

This video was about Abraham Lincoln being offered whiskey by the Colonel he was with and he said no. Then the Colonel offered him to smoke and Mr. Lincoln said that before he did he was going to tell him a story about a little boy. his mom was very sick and she called him over and told him that she wasn't going to get better so she made him promise her that he would never drink whiskey or smoke tobacco and he did. Then Mr. Lincoln asked the Colonel if he wants him to break that promise and the Colonel said that he wouldn't ask that of him. This taught me to keep my word.

 This statement is saying that your life depends thoroughly on your attitude. Whether you are happy or not depends on your attitude. If you are successful or not, if you rise or fall depends on your attitude. You hold your own attitude and only you can control. For example, if you are positive that you are going to pass a test, then you will pass it because that is the power your attitude has.

   They recruit, supervise, and evaluate medical staff. They also manage the medical and administrative operations, as well as other medical facilities. They can work in for doctor’s offices, clinics, long-term care facilities, and outpatient facilities.

Educational Requirements:

   You would have to have the minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a medical field like medical services administration or health care administration.

I would like to be a medical manager because it sounds interesting. This would be something that I could study for.

   They work with kids who have communication disorders or who are at risk of these disorders. They have programs to prevent kids from failing in their school and also collect and analyze data. They also help with competent cultural services, which mean that they help the student with equal quality. They can work in hospitals, colleges and universities, rehabilitation centers, and public or private schools.

Average Salary: $83,000- $193,000

Educational Requirements:

   You would need a master’s degree. You may need graduate programs like age-specific speech disorders, alternative communication methods, and swallowing disorders. In most states you must be licensed.

I would not like to be a speech pathologist because it does not interest me. It does not seem like something I would like to be.
