Social Worker

Duties and Responsibilities:
   They help people and their families adjust with problems in their lives like child abuse, serious illness, mental illness, substance abuse, anti-social, and handicap. They work a lot with lower class people. Most work for the government in offices, hospitals, clinics, prisons, and courts. Some also work in schools, nursing homes, group homes, or businesses. They
·         Interview and counsel individuals, families, or groups.
·         Assess needs and develop response plans.
·         Recommend their clients to professional or community services.
Average Salary: $20,000- $42,000
Educational Requirements:
   In high school students should take high courses in science, math, and English. With a bachelor’s degree in social work some organizations will allow you to practice. Most health and mental health positions require a graduate degree. For clinical positions it requires additional licensing after you complete a one to two year supervised internship.

I would like to be a social worker because it seems interesting. This career would be something that I would want to get into.
