Duties and Responsibilities:

   Dietetic Technicians assist dietitians in evaluating, organizing, and conducting nutrition services and programs for schools, hospitals, and industry. They:

• ·         Gather and evaluate diet histories.
• ·         Assist in planning patient meals.
• ·         Provide nutritional counseling.
• ·         Conduct food service operations.
• ·         Oversee food preparation and service.
• ·         Maintain records.

Average Salary: $16,000-$30,000

Educational Requirements:

   Students wanting to become dietetic technicians should graduate from high school with a well-rounded program. High school business courses may prove helpful.

   Dietetic technicians must complete a two-year Associate’s Degree program that is accepted by the American Dietetic Association. They must then pass a Commission on Dietetics Registration examination.

Duties and Responsibilities:

   Dialysis Technicians operate machines that remove waste and excess fluids from the blood of patients whose kidneys can no longer carry out those functions. Dialysis technicians are also referred to as renal dialysis technicians, hemodialysis technicians, or nephrology technicians. They work under the supervision of physicians, primarily in hospitals and clinics.

   Dialysis technicians must fully understand the operation of the kidney dialysis machines. They are responsible for their operation, cleaning, and sterilization. They must also fully understand their patients’ needs. Dialysis technicians carefully monitor and record weight and vital signs before, during, and after the blood cleansing procedures. Additionally, they instruct patients about in-home treatments. Because dialysis technicians work with the blood, they must exercise strict safety precautions against infectious diseases such as hepatitis and AIDS.

   This statement is saying that the right way isn't always the way the crowd goes toward. Sometimes the right way is unpopular and everyone is saying to do wrong, but it is when you choose the right even though everyone else is against it is when you truly show your morals. That is how you prove how morally strong you are because people usually go for the popular way even if it is the wrong thing to do. For example, when you are in a party with your "friends" and people start offering you alcohol, so everyone takes it, but you don't and everyone starts teasing you and calling you names. Even though that occurs you still don't take it because you know it is wrong.

   Dental laboratory technicians specialize in different areas of dental and orthodontic work. Their jobs usually include making and repairing dentures, crowns, and braces. They work in dental schools, commercial dental laboratories, hospitals, dental clinics, and for manufacturers of dental prostheses Dental laboratory technicians:

• ·         Repair denture linings.
• ·         Choose and mount replacement teeth.
• ·         Construct denture frames.
• ·         Identify needed prostheses repairs.
• ·         Make and fix braces.
• ·         Cast plaster dental molds.
• ·         Clean and polish prostheses.

Educational Requirements:

   Dental laboratory technicians must have a high school diploma or GED certificate before starting dental laboratory training.

My Dream College

My Dream College

   So thUCSBis being my last year in high school I am hearing a lot about colleges and how to prepare for them. After hearing about them so much I know that it is not gonna be easy. Before this I thought that the college I wanted to go to was UC Berkeley, then my option moved to UC Irvine. Know that  i have seen many more more my mind is set on UCSB which stands for UC Santa Barbara. It is a beautiful university and very big. The campus is very large that's why people usually take bikes or scooters to get to their classes. This university is a great choice for me not only is it near the beach, but it is also a great place to go to. I would like to be a pediatrician, psychologist, or a marine biologist. I would love to go into the medical field to be a pediatrician because I love learning about the human body. My dream is to become a UCSB Gaucho and later on full fill my dream of being a pediatrician. 

My Experience So Far at HPIAM

“My Experience So Far at HPIAM”

    My experience so far in HPIAM has been very fun and scary at the same time. I mean fun because the teachers I have gotten have been very nice and cool. They help me understand and at the same time enjoy the class. My teachers would make me laugh and also would make the class so interesting. I like that the teachers were teaching me important lessons in a fun way because I learned more. When I said that my experience has been scary is because now I am a senior and I know that this is my last high school year. The thought paralyzes me especially because I know that there are no rooms for error. I am also scared because my classes this year are a little more challenging then what I’m used to. My classes this year have been giving me a lot of homework and it has been tough. However, they tell me that they are leaving my classmates and I more homework because it will prepare us for college. This makes me fear college even more because I understand that it is going to be anything, but easy. Although the work that my teachers this year are giving me is a lot I still do it because I know that it will help me come in hand. One thing I noticed is that my procrastination this year is becoming less every day because I finally realized that I will have a tough time if I continue procrastinating. I would have to say that my senior year has been the most difficult year yet because of how much work I am receiving. Even though it has been hard it is in my mind that it is not impossible. This is my last year in HPIAM and I know it will be great.
