Tommy is saying that nothing is impossible if you have determination. The fortitude to fulfill what you really want to do. When you grit your way to make your dreams come true, then they will come true. not only that, but once you do you will achieve greater things because of how hard you work. For example, if you don't think you can get straight A's on your report card, so you study and study and try really hard then you will because you will have the knowledge you need.
