Duties and Responsibilities:

    Health information specialists analyze medical data, finances, and insurance data. They make sure that everything gets recorded in the records right. There are many types of health information specialists like:

·                     ·         Accredited record technicians

·                     ·         Certified coding specialist

They work in hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and physician offices.

Average Salary: $20,000- $25,000 (Coding Specialist)

                           $23,000- $30,000 (Record Technicians)

                           $30,000- $40,000 (Record Administrators

Educational Requirements:

   A coding specialist must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Record technicians must have an associate’s degree from an accredited college program or from the American Health Information Management Association Independent Study Program. Record administrator has to earn a bachelor’s degree program in the field. They have training in college and only get certified if they pass their examination.

I would not like to be a health information specialist because to be putting records in files and managing the insurance information is not really in my interests. This career does not catch my eye.

   This quote is saying that it is not about being better than what others can do, it is about being better than what you can do. The best thing is to outdo yourself and do better than your best. For example, you may be sitting next to someone and want to outdo them and you do, but next week they change you partners and now you have to start again. It will just keep going. you are the only person you should try and surpass, go beyond what you think you are capable of doing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

   They organize and gather information that practitioners need. They use books, journals, and electronic or digital database. Librarians control budgets and supervise library technicians. Library technicians help librarians with what they do as well.

Average Salary: $20,000- $30,000 (Library Technicians)

                             $35,000- $55,000 (Librarians)

Educational Requirements:

   Students should take challenging courses in info management, science, math, and English. Health sciences library technicians’ get job training and some are offered in community college or tech school. An associate’s can be earned there. Health science librarians should earn a undergraduate degree in a life science and has to earn a master’s in library science from a program that is accredited by the American Library Association.

I would like to be a health science librarian because I think it would be really interesting to collect information about patients’ care or even just for education. It seems cool to keep journals or books full of information.

Christmas Break

Christmas Break

    My three week Christmas break was spent with my family. In the weekends I saw football games, the games I saw Chargers and Bengals and chargers won. I saw a lot of the games, but most of my time I spent watching movies like Mama, Transformers, and paranormal. It was simple, but nice.

An example would be to become better in a sport you have to sweat, bleed and breath that sport and then you will be one of the best or maybe even THE best. That will be a rough journey, but it can be done.

   They include laboratory techs. and clinical techs. to identify, diagnose, and treat diseases. Laboratory technicians use computers, chemicals, and microscopes to do tests. Clinical technicians Do harder tests and sometimes supervise technicians. They can work in hospitals, private practices, medical groups, pharmaceutical companies, and universities.

Average Salary: $20,000- $28,000 (clinical laboratories)

                             $25,000- $40,000 (clinical technologists)

Educational Requirements:

   Students should take hard classes in science, math, and English. To be a clinical laboratory tech you need to have an associate’s in field or completion of a specialized in-house training program. A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in the field is needed to be a clinical tech. Some take extra courses to get better.

I would not like to in this field because I don’t like technology. It seems very difficult.
