Student Success Statement

"No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction."-Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian

This quote means that to be one of a kind, to stand out of the crowd you have to do what is required and go past that. Do not stop at the finish line, keep going. What sets you apart from the rest is how you always strive for more than what is being expected. For example, to pass a class you only need a D, but makes you stand out is if you aim for that A+. True greatness can only be attained when you go beyond the required.
