Student Success Statement

"Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."- President Calvin Coolidge 30th president of US (1872-1933)

This statement is saying that when you can have knowledge or talent, but a lot have that. What separates you from the rest is how determined you are, how hard you are going to work. There is nothing else, but persisting, that can make you be successful. For example, you can be the smartest person on earth, but if you don't try and try then all that knowledge is for nothing.
